There is no doubt that recording video in high definition has been a star feature in SLR cameras in recent months. A feature, and a marketing argument, that the major brands of photography being used to continue selling their products.

Still, not all companies have embarked on the adventure. Some, probably because they are trying to promote new systems like Micro Four Thirds (Olympus see, for example) and others, like Sony, because perhaps a reflex camera with HD video recording would be in direct competition with other private label products where not interested in losing market share.
